Hey this is Nicholls...
So yeah editing is basically properly finished now. James might update the titles 2moz to make them a bit prettier :D but we're pretty much finished sound and editing now.
Therefore I am able to present to you our film 99% ish complete. Set in an age where one adolescent teenager can dethrone a government with just a really large black briefcase. With a debut role of emo cult icon 'Josh Sharman' and the directors of the epic 'Dagga'. Nicholls and Sibley present another film with the sexy beast 'Zal Jones'. The awesome 3 minute thriller classic HAIRISIS...
Yes I apologise for the crapness of sound but this gives you a general impression of the finished project just not in digital crystal perfection.
Please leave a comment after witnessing the future of filmage ... your opinion (yes YOU!) is very important to us.
Everyone have a good Friday, I'm in Belgium being ill and bored.

mmmmmm tis niceeeee, dude wheres the horrors on the soundtrack?? : p
really like the editing and the locations you used...specially in the fight scene the bit with the briefcase was wik :D
Well done Messrs Sibley and Nicholls - you have created a highly effective thriller opening. 'Quickcuts' work well to compress time, great close-ups and the whole thing rattles along. Well controlled final shot.
Being picky - final mirror shot necessary? continuity on socks (black to white?) and in fight scene (cricket bat assailant on right then left;or does our hero swivel around)?
1.)The final mirror shot is something that Zal picked out as well, will probably take it out...
2.)I don't know where you mean...but we did have to use both mine and Jake's legs as body doubles as Josh had bronchitis in the final deadline week, might explain it.
3.)He does swivel, and those shots are both from the same take, we filmed the scene with two cameras, a continuity break would be impossible there...
Actually pretty damn cool, really liked the "Shaun" style shots and the fight is quite realistic Mr Zallery is "such a good actor" could have got those bits slightly more central in the camera but still... feeling a bit jealous.
2) shot immediately before, and after, the close up of the answer machine. Bronchitis, whaddaya gonna do?
